THE POWER OF BRANDING – it's in the go!

What comes to your mind whenever you hear of the word, BRANDING? May be a set of logo, design, creativity, pictorial representation or the likes will in quick time run through your mind? Well, can I throw a shock to you that branding goes beyond those concepts. We can think branding is all about putting on new logo, design or creativity but to large extent it might not necessarily be what you think of it when only related within these contexts; by the time you’re done reading this piece you will be shock to believe that branding goes beyond what you’ve seen it to be in the past than what it is currently.

Yes, all over our world is an emerging order; concepts are gradually changing the flow into mind overview. What then is branding? According to use of English, we're been taught that anytime 'ing' ends a word it is used within the context of describing a transit in process for a particular action. Hold on as I dish out to you three concepts of what branding is:

1The art of branding is more of identity that one (or a brand) stand for and offer in return as service, it is distinguishing factor that defines and stand you out as a brand. Her operation flows in an atmosphere of sight-sound where all you seek to promote are Competent (qualitative services), Integrity and Continuity(without compromising the quality of services rendered). This serves as what a brand should make as promises to clients and what every brand must seek out to provide in all their services, following this path will properly place you in advantage of your brand understanding the concept of Branding. 

When it comes to aspect of branding, you should not as a corporate or individual brand focus all your attention, time in how display of the images, logo, design will look like without getting into the core of the identity. It's more than these, as these components without content and identity amount to waste of resources; your prospect clients is on the search for a valid identity and content not just show of design. Salient issues such as vision, mission, core values of what your brand defines should be duly put into utmost consideration as means of enhancing effective identity of the brand. 

2. Branding is science that imprints sensory cutting edge expression to the mind of its viewer with aim of sticking to one’s conscious mind permanently, in other word ‘content’ is the language. If not branding how does an average populace think quenching thirsty is the synonymy to ‘coca cola’ drink even if it doesn’t to some extent quench their thirst!

3.  Leke Alder, Nigeria’s foremost Brand master sees branding in his context as “ability to sell and communicate an idea to its consumer through various medium of  imaginations and expressions used” – brand don’t sell product, they sell dreams in all means.  It’s aroma that people could smell from the look of your brand’s colour, images, personality; in other word beyond these there is something meaningful they are reading undertone which stimulate them to achieve success and fulfillment in life. When Pepsi advertises their drink, people are not just looking at the drink but at the achievement of celebrities in the advert such as Lionel Messi and how they can become successful as them.

In conclusion, David Axelrod (a Political Consultant and Branding Expert) – the brain behind President Barack Obama campaign slogan ‘Yes we can’ have this to advise that branding should carry the mind, spirit of whatever service your brand seek to render or offer. Flowing within the context will place a demand where one will be constrained to deliver meaningful within the province of what is obtainable and not excesses.

THE QUEST – DEFINING YOUR TIME (Series II)

Today I continue with the series started out on THE QUEST, Click HERE to read the beginning and previous digest on the series. Today we continue on another approach on how to effectively let our time gain meaning. A force exist which we as individuals can’t afford to possess in life. Everyone desire it, masses are in dire need of its flow but not all can grab it as soon as it is released. It is the concept of TIME! Time, a divine deposit every mortal beings have been given to invest on, an arrow shot out and gone into history never to come back except in memoirs. There is no better way to express it than viewing it as the first capital readily available to entrepreneurs of any cadre and other productive minded fellows. We are never given money in life but given time to make money as returns, the fellow that has money but no time to spend it is more miserable than one who has got time but no money. Not everything in life money can buy, only few limited stuff; definitely it won't buy you TIME and work which depicts your fulfillment. What time and work can fix money can't!

REFLECT: that you possess in and around you a juicy offer does not imply spending the whole of your life and time on it, some are just in existence as a deadly trap to lure you off the track. Once it get rid of you then you have no choice than to be at it mercy. The good things in life don't always come bye attractive, it's either packaged in a casual container or trash bin that will demand from us discovery. As well most of the bad things in life are painted attractive in a juicy pack with the mind of captivating our attention, once sold out to you it is designed to consume your passion.
 

We can be so obsessed in life with many activities that has less or no impact, role to play in the pursuit of our life’s assignment. Equally, we can be consumed with the grip of zealousness and miss out from the right wisdom needed to boost us in walking circumspectly as one who knows the prerequisite for living in times such as the present dispensation we found ourselves. This I see as having passion without knowledge, for how disastrous will it be for you to put in all your effort in running straight to a vision only to discover sooner or later that it has no role to complement in your life. Catastrophic and shattered dream will be the language of the day for such fellow. 

The productive way to effectively have control of your time is "FINDING THE RIGHT COURSE/ACTION TO DO WITH YOUR TIME AND DOING THE RIGHT ACTIONS AT THE RIGHT APPOINTED TIME. We must not just live the time as in the function of chronos – only measuring time in form of seconds, minute, hour or day nor as what we see to be 24/7 mindset. Time should be lived with the right mindset of been entrusted to our care as a resources which should be channeled to a predetermined cause pertinent to God’s heartbeat, in sync with the script he has written of us to work out with the measure of work. That is what we called the Kairos perspective, when we all come in term with this truth it can be said of us to have made the switch from chronos timing into the KAIROS Moment which defines our daily living.

I conclude with one of the thoughts of an Apostle of Truth, Seasoned Writer and Lawyer, Paul: “Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless but as wise. Making the very most of the time because the days are evil. Therefore do not be vague and thoughtless and foolish but understanding and firmly grasping what the will of the Lord is”.
