WHERE IS MY BUSINESS CAPITAL? (Stream 2)

Hi, glad to have secured your rapt attention. I began a series on redefined toolbox for generating business capital, you can check the archive HERE. In stream 1, I gave three basic capital that is readily available to every start up or emerged entrepreneurs. The first capital which is time, the second idea and the third networking.Today i continue with the other remaining business capital.

And now the fourth capital which is the LAW OF START-NOW. Your business is your capital.
This is powerful as it states that you can start any business immediately with what you have and where you are. You will never realize the height you can attain until you take bold step to start that business idea. How hard or anyhow it might look just start because you never know the number of people carrying the same idea with yours. If you don’t start someone may start and you might not have access to it again unless you redefined it through creativity.

Despise not the days of little beginning, for in it is the big shot. The little progress you see in your business counts much as it culminates to bigger heights. Don’t forget in a hurry that it is the sum total of first, second and third term secondary school result that culminate for the position of the session. So the little success you have formed the basis for the success you see when the business has grown. Don’t procrastinate as this is a termite that has eaten deep many businesses that fails to start. As a start up entrepreneur, your start by first rendering free services to your clients. This free service is what you can afford that would not cost you loss.

The capital of laying-off all your liabilities. There are many stuff in our possessions that we don’t need, we just accumulate them as ‘want’ not ‘need’. This principle states that you get rid of those ‘wants’ by selling them. If you have any stuff in your possession and you have not make use of it for the past 6, 9months or 1 year dispose them through selling. Of what need will it be that all you have in your hand are not what you need for your daily living? Stop buying wants; rather invest into buying your needs. The last time you wear that shoe was in 2010 for a social function, I advised that you sell it immediately and plunge the money into that dreamed business or idea. You’ve complained for so long that no money to run that business and in your custody are many properties that you don’t need, why the waste and complain when you can lay them off through selling. How do you sell those properties?

Simply let people know that you want to dispose some properties through selling to those interested or those who can help you in advertising to others through words in their mouth. Another way you can sell those properties which I have also employed in the past is advertising it by taking picture of it and posting it on the pages of your social network site such as Olx, Kaymu, facebook, twitter, YouTube, Flickr, Blogs, wikis et'al. You may think there is no need for this, but you wouldn’t know those who still need those properties who may want to purchase it from you. Ford Car Company made sales worth billions of dollars of a 2011 car model through their facebook page advert.

Starting a business has been crucial issue in the business world over the time due to the intimidating factor of generating capital for a business idea. Hence many scavenged for capital which is not lost to start up a business or another idea through manipulating means. It is at this point many give up their dream simply because they think there is no capital to finance the dream or project when their skimming seems not to yield positive result. If you ask some people how they intend spending proposed money for business, they begin to babble by saying I will do that, I will do this even without having mapped out print of the vision they propose to execute.  Vision is the key for provision, any worthwhile vision you have will surely be provided for.

Before striking on the path for business, you ought to have done feasibility studies or planning on the kind of business you want to venture in. This planning includes your short term and long term business plan, identifying a problem which your idea is capable of solving, your market research, target audience, location you intend starting your business and the like. It is when all these are in order before you now begin to look for capital to finance the dream. But most of the business idea many profess to have does not need capital to kick start. What you just need in such situation is turning your intention to action by starting with what you have.

Here is shocking news for you, the first capital you need as an entrepreneur is not money. You can go on and argue this, but you will still discover that it is truth I have painted. This I discovered some few years ago. I realized that money many clamour for is just a means to an end not an end to a means. Have you ever seen anyone being buried with money in the coffin? Or have anyone who is sick carried money to the sick bed that this is my money that will cure my ailment? Then wouldn’t it sink to your consciousness that money is just an exchange. 

I recalled telling my clients in every of my training sessions in my school of Business “WEALTHBROOK SCHOOL OF BUSINESS” which I serves as a facilitator that money is an exchange for services rendered. What gives value to money is the product you purchased with it, in essence money is as useless as a rough paper until you have found value in a product or services that needs to be paid for. This is the principle that guides many multi-billionaire and multi-national entrepreneurs.

What then is the first capital? The first capital that is readily available at the disposal of every startup and emerged entrepreneur is TIME CAPITAL. A wise man once observed that “God does not give us money but He gives us time and we use it to make money.” What a profound statement! You will agree with me that one that have money but have no time to spend it is more miserable that one that has got time but no money. Why? It is with time that you make and spend money. So you’ve got the capital of time to brainstorm or think on idea that should produce income for you. If your business must experience positive turnaround, you’ve got to utilize first the manner you spend your precious time. If you can’t effectively mange the free resources (which is time) you have, you can’t effectively manage other resources that comes your way. Your first generating tool for capital is mindset and attitudinal change as regards the way you spend your time because its supply and flow is limited.

The second capital is IDEA. After having much supply of time to yourself, you effectively utilize it to identify a problem. When identifying a problem, you must give room for analyzing it. The process of analyzing a problem is when you draw up a logical thought known as “idea”. It is this substance that will aid in solving the problem you have at first identified. Business never succeed without an idea, it is idea couple with action that rules the world of business. So the money you expect will never get into your hand if you’ve got no idea to run the money with. IDEA IS A MESSENGER YOU SEND ON ERRAND. Stop looking for capital if you have not properly plan and done business logistics.

Another capital you need after idea is NETWORKING, this I called the “People’s capital”. There are some thing you don’t need spend money on some ideas at the initial start inasmuch you have some network of people around you. Some people exist in our network just to help us in solving few problems we might encountered. Such network of people I often referred to them as Social Entrepreneur. They just exist in our network as a philanthropists who delight in carrying out Business advisory services for us (should there be any help you need as regards your business, I can help in rendering business advisory services for you).

Here is another principle: don’t for once stop telling people the services your business brand offers. Be the first advertiser of your business brand with choice word to promote it. So you need networking in your business profile. We all exist as a support for each others. The spirit of ‘I need you, you need me’ is the mindset that must flow in us. No man is an island of himself. For the fact that you need networking does not means that you just flock with any individuals whose vision does not support or deviate from yours. Business associates that have no vision to add to your business will make it crawl. Be careful as you choose you business network, it is not what you rush into but with time you can get one you leverage on for networking.

PROSPERITY AMIDST STARVATION (Stream 2)

It’s my utmost privilege to welcome you onboard this voyage I started out last week on “PROSPERITY AMIDST STARVATION”. In stream 1, I shared how life has transposed from intention to action and the issue of scarcity of bread in the house of bread… the Bethlehem-Judah experience. Peradventure you’ve not read that part, CLICK Here to read so as to know where I’m coming from as regards the thought.

In this second series I will start by sharing 4 categories of people in different circumstances and you can as well determine the cadre you belong to.

►   “Unproducing folks that lives in a productive system”.
This is the lacking experience in the land of plenty. These ones have got much mineral resources but no mind resources to transform them to wealth. Afterwards, the greatest resources that still put the world into a joyous celebration is the mind resources. With the mind resources you can recreate your world to be a better place, because each of us have been given power to re-invent our sphere of influence according to the desirable taste we want.

A word of wisdom for you: “Everything you could ever need to thrive in life is rightly available at your custody but yet some still experience lack and go long mile in search of bread in the house where there is no bread.” Here’s how you know if you belong to this group: you become lazy at things which ordinarily you can do by yourself and begin to look for external aid to help you in what you have been wired for or have capacity for. Also when there is a high sense of emptiness in a treasure house.

A worst situation where Kings, prince and princess who are supposed to ride horse are now found riding on foot while the servant has taken over the role of Kings by riding on horses. Failure to process what is in your hand is the opportunity to be sold into slavery. Laziness is the operating factor of the day, “it’s only a lazy man that won’t even dress the game (seed) he discovered in personal discovery”. But the reverse is a pleasant one as “the diligent hand bear rule (lead) and make good use and process everything he finds in the discovery game”

►   Unproducing folks that operate in an unproductive system. They are never producing in an unproductive terrain; their land is 100% barren. So no sin in not producing because all you have are decayed bread in dilapidated storehouse. Value system are non-effective talk less of efficient in such circumstance. This is the stage you found yourself when in the ‘wilderness mode’, but something is certain – a never-giving up mentality. What is expected of you in such time is to give thank in anticipation of the diverse victories coming your way. Lifestyle of praise now have access in such dispensation to begin to unlock the doors of unproductivity shut against you and your inner man (mind) is flooded with insights that will light up re-invention that turns your unproductive land to a evergreen productive land. That is the transformation processes that occur, hence you see an unproductive being and system begin to blaze with giant stride achievements.

►   Producing folks that live in an unproductive system. These are the hustlers who are bent in making progress in their area of endeavours. What matters to these folks is how they will make advancement and niche in whatever angle they set out to do. This is the truth: those in this cadre will easily make a niche in their business or sphere because of the ignorant nature of the unproductive system they operate peradventure if there are good services or product design to answer and solve the needs. Another business tip, whatever causes massive ignorant in a city or land which you have solution for in form of an idea is the business domain you must dominate; this I termed your domineering mandate. Get it right, your domineering mandate is not over people but you are born to dominate and exercise control over sphere of influence you find yourself. And your dominion sector is the ministry that is committed to your trust which you must guard judiciously.

►   “The ever-producing folks that operate in a productive system”.  Those that belong to this cadre got in their possession fresh bread that is from fresh oven in the land of plenty. Such fellow are never lazy to brainstorm on cutting edge ideas that is put to work in an atmosphere where the result is seen by all through diligence in their work ethic. Creativity runs in the veins of these folks and as such as called ‘creative personality’ that can transform idea and passion to wealth. They have every worthwhile substance with which to turn what others sees as complain and problems to business prospect.

Most problems we see today are birthing ground for business, because the spirit of entrepreneurship starts once what too many people complain about as problem degenerate to solution which your ideas can solve. Solving problems that lingers in our society is the aspect through which ideas are put to work which in returns make available wealth creation. You will equally agree with me that our country ‘NIGERIA’ and Africa are in dire need of such folks of stakeholders that are in this cadre; those whose sight can identify prospect for economic development…”eyes that sees are not common”.

In every human is embedded a wellspring that should gush out ‘a never-seen paradigm shift’that must positively supply strength, drinks and feeds that will fend for the dying, hungry and thirsty minds in our generations and posterity. We are to serve as that source that humanity should draw water from because what flows from the house that host God’s presence in us is Rivers of Living (not dead, thirst-less, stagnant) Water. Constantly each of us is being rooted as a good seed already sown to take root which must spread far, wide and deep through medium that sprout its soul vitalizing and productive flow into our sphere of influence.

I sign off with this thought of mine: “No nation grows without the active role of individuals that fit into the geographical location who are stakeholders in nation building. The government alone can’t deliver effectively without the conscious development and cultivation of citizenries mindset stirred towards active participation of positively solving problems and contributing their quota to the great cause and issues that make for a better society where peace, justice and truth shall reign; for the greatest asset and resource of a nation is human resources.”

PROSPERITY AMIDST STARVATION (Stream 1)

Every meaningful human facet finds in their conscious mind a terms of condition that forms the workability for life’s voyage to significance. This consciousness is perceived as a startup with a prologue intention which serves as introductory signals that herald a epilogue – signoff experience capable of converting intention to action. You are never judged based on intention but on action,
also success does not come with a rewarding intention but it is appreciated with a rewarding action. The connectivity link cutting across the wider scope of the introduction and conclusion is the inevitable principle referred to as ‘process’. 

You start out life as a blank slate that lacked the actor script until you connect with the role specified in the scriptwriter’s scroll by playing it out.

In essence, on many occasion you found yourself at diverse point in time possessing many intention in heart… “Counsel in the heart of human is like water in a deep well”. You realized those intentions continually flow to your heart in form of dream, plans or vision. But do you know the context in reality? 

IT TAKES UNDERSTANDING THROUGH THE MEDIUM OF YOUR ACTION TO DRAW EVERY INTENTION OF YOUR HEART TO WORK BY EXPEDITING NECESSARY ACTION ON IT. Simply put: its pain and resource sabotage to possess a wishful though in heart and just sit waiting for its full manifestation without putting necessary work into action that is fit to produce the expected result. Many at times as individual, corporate organization and nation we envisaged clichés born out of ‘apathetic fantasy’ without the work mechanism attached to it and as the set time frame of the plan’s reality draws near, we begin to extend what should have been done to another far future with substandard crash work. 

Once upon a time in the city of Bethlehem-Judah (literally meaning the house of Bread), there was no bread. What a colossal context! No bread in the house of bread, and when this happen search for bread will certainly be made to a non-house of bread. At this stage many have no option than to resign to fate by journeying from realm of abundance to unknown realm of obscurity. Thus, the Bethlehem-Judah experience is identical and relational to our current experience in Nigeria where attitudinal change has become the inevitable tool to transform our numerous lack to plenty. No blame to those citizenries that now finds pleasure in travelling abroad to earn a standard living since massive dilapidated structures have permeated through a vibrant and prospect domain for prosperity.

The greatest evil that can happen to a man is to starve himself right in the midst of plenty, even God who bestowed such man with the resource will be angry and may as well withdraw the resources from the man. Why? God is a productive supreme being that loves productivity because his nature is productive which form the basis for his agape love to the universe. In other word productivity flows in His vein, so you are not an exemption. Productivity goes along with consistency, effectiveness and efficiency coupled with the tool of creativity which is put to work thereby produce maximum output. 

Being productive also implies that you can effectively pull together through resource control of the substance at your disposal. Does it not paint a bad picture to you that despite our country Nigeria vast natural and human resources yet we still find ourselves starving in the midst of plenty resources at our disposal. This definitely is the root cause of abysmal governance and leadership, once the heartbeat – governance and leadership of a nation is jeopardized with an unprepared child ruling at the hewn of affairs then starvation in all sectors becomes inevitable… “DESTRUCTION IS CERTAIN FOR A LAND WHOSE KING IS A CHILD” says the wise king. Who is a child? A child is one who is untrained, unskillful in leadership and management. Hence, a man full of age can still be a child that lack leadership quality and skills.
